Montserrat by Orquesta del Plata. When I saw Karen and Viktor perform the Argentine tango in So You Think You Can Dance s.06 e.17, I imagined it being done on a rotating pole >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agSGtwyE6FQ << all the twists, turns, pauses, kicks, bends, lunges and especially the part when she jumps on him in a wild embrace…

Who needs a partner when you have got the pole right? ~~,)

I have been an avid fan of sensual exercise and am so glad POLE DANCING is now being recognized here in Manila. If schedule will permit, I will enroll in your class and surely work hard until I’m ready to do a routine with two of my fave songs:
    1. Naughty Girl by Beyonce
    2. Beautiful Liar by Shakira & Beyonce

I usually listen to both songs in my IPOD and at home and there are times I find myself dancing solo inside my room. I can’t explain why but when I hear them, I feel so sexy and in the mood to dance my heart out. There’s this sensation inside me being captured by the rhythm and lyrics of those songs. Gee!!!

For the Love of God by Steve Vai

    (omgness @ 2:30 on)

I haven’t physically poledanced yet (only in my imagination) but as poledancing is as eye candy as the name implies… this is the perfect ear candy in my mind when I think of it. Classy, expressive emotion and art overflow.

    Fear and Love by Morcheeba.

I love this song! Both the song and my poledancing experience have a lot in common: empowerment, self confidence booster and just casting away doubts and fear to be able to achieve your full potential.
    Seryoso….? 😀
But this song is so nice. It has this dark sensual feel to it. I can imagine just dancing to it in a dark-lit room – and on a spinny pole! (okokokok, imagine lang naman e.)

Since watching Ciara Sotto and Talentadong Pinoy Hall of Famer, Sfazhiva, I had been looking forward to try pole dancing myself. I would like to try Take it All by Marion Cottilard, would be sooo sexy 🙂

    1. closer (nine inch nails)

the lyrics are very sensual, gritty, and dirty- but tasteful too (because, well, it’s trent reznor singing). actually, even if you broke down the whole song and took out the words, the beat alone is pulsy and sweaty and sexy enough to dance to. in short, the song to me is a cross between “bastos” and “angas” but with artistry- just like poledancing.

(i’ve imagined a routine of spins and drops and things for this song in my head countless times already. now if only i could actually learn how to do it.)

definitely, Nothing but your T-shirt On by Shontelle Layne… such a nice sultry song depending upon the listener…
full of angst, love, fashion, glam…

“if” by Janet Jackson. The song always gets me in the mood to dance sexy – makes me think of the pole as my lover. Catch my drift? LOL!

When I heard about polecats, I knew already what my dream performance would be like; most especially the song that I would dance to. Someday, I dream of performing to the song “Bust your windows” by Jazmine Sullivan. It’s slow, with awesome beat, appropriate for the pole, very sexy, and most especially it is very empowering.

The song is about a girl who intentionally broke the windows of his cheating boyfriend’s car. I meant to say it is very empowering because I have gone through the same thing. I am not shy enough to say that my boyfriend of 2 years cheated on me 10 TIMES (I know right) and me finding out almost every month after we broke up. I had fantasies of actually really busting the windows of his White Rav 4 car, and then spray paint, “cheating bastard” on the sides of his car. But then, I wouldn’t stoop down to his pathetic level. So my plan is, to enroll in pole dancing class, master it, and someday eventually be able to perform to this song.

I’d do some sexy dancing around the pole and whipping of my long hair when this line comes “I bust the windows out your car, And no, it didn’t mend my broken heart. I’ll probably always have these ugly scars, But right now, I don’t care about that part” . Do my favorite spin, The sunwheel on this part, “You see you can’t just play with people’s feelings. Tell them you love them and don’t mean it” Do a finale by doing the sexiest plank I can, “You broke my heart, so I broke your car, You caused me pain, so I did the same Even though what you did to me was much worse I had to do something to make you hurt”

I am certain I will be able to perform to this song someday. And when that happens, my audience will be amazed. Saying “She need not to bust the windows of the bastard’s car. She’s too busy rocking the pole, enough to make him regret a lifetime.” A polecat is made to be sexy and strong, with or without a man; with or without a pole.

    XOXO, Superwoman
